Sept 11-12-13, at the Rivendell Writer’s Colony in Sewanee, TN.

This is an informal, craft-focused retreat, at which attendees will share works-in-progress and conversations about craft. Each attendee (including faculty) pays his/her own way.

This retreat is not focused on what’s marketable or how to publish; it is instead meant to be permission to break the rules, to write the books you really want to write, to shock, surprise, delight.

There is no official schedule, but attendees should come ready to read others’ work and offer constructive feedback in addition to taking writing and reflecting time for themselves.

SPACE IS EXTREMELY LIMITED. There will likely be fewer than 9 attendees.

Cost per attendee is $250 for two nights’ stay.

Meals are up to each attendee–there are local restaurants, and Rivendell has a nice kitchen in which to cook, if you choose, but Rivendell does not provide the groceries.

Melissa Manlove will be attending faculty at this small retreat.
